Dr. Adriana Da Silveira has received Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as well as the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her Master of Science and Ph.D., at the University of Florida and a Certificate in Orthodontics at Eastman Dental Center at the University of Rochester in New York.

Westlake Braces
Traditional braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. The metal or ceramic brackets are attached to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics. Through regular adjustments with Dr. Da Silveira, these components work together to apply gentle pressure, which will gradually move the teeth into the desired positions.
Westlake braces are an excellent choice for correcting many simple and complex tooth issues. Because they sometimes work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other options, your overall treatment time might be shorter. Also, braces don’t need some of the more complicated technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can. This makes Westlake braces a cost-effective orthodontic option for patients on a budget.
Westlake Invisalign
Invisalign is incredibly popular with both patients and orthodontists and is currently the top alternative to traditional braces. Instead of brackets and bands, the Westlake Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually move the teeth into alignment.
Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and designed to fit snugly over the patient’s teeth. The trays are virtually invisible and are usually switched out every 1-2 weeks for the next in the series. This keeps the teeth moving in the right direction! Aligners must be worn 20-22 hours per day during your treatment in order for them to do their job. Patients who neglect to wear the aligners as directed can have a negative impact on the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.
